Most people are terrified of experiencing grief. One of the reasons we fear grief is because the feelings it evokes can be incredibly painful, often smashing us like a wave at the most unexpected times. Having been through many types of loss, and the grief that inevitably follows, I am familiar with the pain of grief on a personal level.
I call grief the big-wig of all emotions. I can help to demystify the enormity of grief and remove the element of fear we often experience alongside grief. I can provide strategies to give you comfort and direction, if you are seeking strategies. Some people just want a safe space to be heard and have their grief witnessed.
When most people think of grief they equate it with death. However, grief is about loss and we experience a myriad of losses throughout life. You may experience grief relative to any of the following losses.
Whatever you are grieving about is incredibly personal. Your loss is valid and important, regardless of what other people may think. I will allow you to feel whatever you need to feel without correcting you or making it wrong. I will validate your feelings as being important and normal, whilst also providing strategies to provide comfort if this is something you would like.
