The terms self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth are often used interchangeably. A helpful first step to identify which one/s you need assistance with can be by giving each of these your own definitions. It's also just an interesting little exercise!
I hear so many people say, "I have always lacked confidence" or "I wish I believed in myself more." Lack of confidence impacts absolutely every area of our lives from how we feel about ourselves to how we show up in relationships. Some of the below statements may resonate with you:
I don't know how to trust myself or others
I have trouble making friends
I am in an abusive relationship
I don't know what a healthy relationship looks like
I'm scared to discover my purpose
I don't like taking risks
I worry what people think of me
I try to please people excessively
I don't feel worthy of happiness
I'm such a failure
I don't like myself
I'm scared of being close to people
I sabotage close relationships
I sabotage positive opportunities
I have issues setting boundaries
I am afraid to express my needs
I'm often clingy
I think I might be too controlling
I believe self-confidence is so much more than putting on a brave face and pretending you have it all together. The first step towards healing is being open and honest about where you're really at. There are so many valid reasons people experience self-doubt. My approach helps you to understand where you self-doubt originated. We then work from the inside out to make room for real and lasting change.
