HOW MUCH IS A SESSION, mADGE?

I know this is what most people want to know before anything else so here you go!

Counselling:

A counselling session is $110 for 50 minutes - private counselling fee. I do not offer rebates for Medicare, Private Health, or Mental Health Care Plans. My total fee is usually LESS than the out-of-pocket fee you will pay psychologists/other therapists.

Hypnotherapy:

A hypnotherapy session is $145 per hour - the first session may need to be 1.5 hours

Something to ponder: If you add up how much your favourite snacks, beverages or hobbies amount to, even in just one week, you may be surprised. Of course it's lovely to treat yourself. You may want to add counselling or hypnotherapy to your "treats list" as well.

WHAT HOURS DO YOU WORK?

In 2025 I'm working part-time. Please feel free to enquire re availability. If I can't assist I'm happy to suggest other options for you.

I provide a service for Townsville and surrounds person to person. I also provide counselling via Zoom or phone.

do i need a referral?

You don't need a referral. Just contact me via this website, email or text.

HOW DO I MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Simply use the Bookings page (under this section) to book at your convenience, or use the contact form or text-bubble to send me a question. If you wish to enquire about counselling times please send me your availability for three times and I will get back to you with a time that suits us both.

What age group does BEE YOURSELF COUNSELLING PROvide services for?

Adults 18 years and over.

WHAT MODES OF COUNSELLING DO YOU OFFER?

I offer person to person counselling and hypnotherapy in Townsville. I will provide you with the details prior to our first session. I offer phone counselling and online counselling and hypnotherapy. Note: Times are Queensland, Australia time.

HAVE YOU WORKED ELSEWHERE PRIOR TO STARTING BEE YOURSELF COUNSELING?

Prior to starting Bee Yourself Counselling I worked at Relationships Australia where I had dual counselling roles. I was the Victims of Crime Counsellor and the Counsellor for the Royal Commission into Childhood Sexual Institutional Abuse. The criteria for Victims of Crime clients to attend counselling were as follows: murder, manslaughter, grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm, stalking, kidnapping, deprivation of liberty, sexual abuse and domestic and family violence.

My work with for the Royal Commission into Childhood Sexual Institutional Abuse involved providing counselling for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse while they were in institutions such as foster care, boarding schools, schools, scouts or any other institution.

ARE YOU A REGISTERED COUNSELLOR?

Yes. I am a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association.

Qualifications: Diploma of Counselling (Institute of Applied Psychology), BA - Behavioural Science (James Cook University), Grad. Dip. Arts - Sociology (James Cook University), Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Applied Psychotherapy (Hypnotherapy Training College Australia)
